06 · Conversion roadmap

Convert in slices your team can approve

A useful slice contains enough of the system to deliver one coherent behavior: the data, the code that changes it, and the rules that protect it.

Choose boundaries from the real system

The dependency map and rule catalog reveal what must move together. Shared data and services may need to come before the screens that depend on them. A large screen can justify a slice of its own. A suspected unused procedure calls for review before anyone leaves it behind.

Phased WXCode conversion roadmap
The proposed demo roadmap groups work into phases for human approval. Sample project element names are in Portuguese.

Make the order explainable

WXCode proposes phases, the elements in each phase, their dependencies, and the reason for each grouping. In the import walkthrough, the plan places schema and shared services before dependent business screens and reports. The exact order comes from that project's graph, not a fixed template.

  • Check that each phase has a clear outcome.
  • Check that prerequisites appear before their consumers.
  • Record why an exception or omission was approved.

Keep approval with the team

The proposed roadmap is saved only after review. Preparation can include enrichment, an audit, and diagrams before the first conversion milestone. This creates a visible boundary between getting the Knowledge Base ready and converting application behavior.
